BREAKING: Three moderate “Democrats” vote down Pelosi’s legislation to lower drug prices in a vital House Committee, defeating it. Kurt Schrader (Ore.), Scott Peters (Calif.) & Kathleen Rice (N.Y.) have gotten a staggering $1.8 million dollars from Big Pharma. RT TO SHAME THEM!

Two of the three Democrats who tanked the party's proposal to allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices — Scott Peters and Kurt Schrader — together have received more than $1.7 million in donations from Big Pharma.

Always follow the money.
Let me ask you a question. Are you satisfied with a system that allows the pharmaceutical industry to charge you $98 for the same vial of insulin that the Canadian people get for about $12?

Would the @Oregonian please ask Rep. Schrader how much in campaign donations he received from Big Pharma or their PACs? https://t.co/4MIf7PrXC0

When @BernieSanders and @AOC push for Medicare for All, which is supported by 60% of Americans, they're called "radicals."

But when Democrats Scott Peters, Kathleen Rice & Kurt Schrader oppose drug pricing legislation that 90% of their voters support they're called "centrists."
The 3 centrist Democrats who just tanked the party’s signature drug pricing bill have received nearly $2 million in pharma contributions.

When 81% of Americans support requiring Medicare to negotiate with the pharmaceutical industry to lower the price of prescription drugs opposing this policy does not make you a centrist or a moderate. It makes you a radical whose views are totally outside of the mainstream.

We must end a rigged system that allowed the former CEO of Gilead to become a billionaire by charging $1,000 for a Hepatitis C drug that was developed by the VA, costs $1 to manufacture & can be purchased in India for $4. No more excuses. Congress must lower drug prices NOW.
